Trinidad and Tobago Fishing

The islands of Trinidad and Tobago lie between 10° 2' and 11°12'N. Latitude, and 60°30' and 61°56' W Longitude.
The average length of Trinidad is 80 km and its average breadth is 59 km.

Tobago is 41 km long and 12 km at its greatest breadth. Trinidad has a land mass of 4,828 sq.km. or 1,864 square miles. Tobago has an area of 300 sq.km, or 116 square miles.

Sport fishing for tarpon in Trinidad and Tobago is a sure thrill ride of adrenaline.

Great opportunities abound for game fishing enthusiasts visiting from mid-November to May as this is the time that White Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Yellow-Fin Tuna, Swordfish and Dolphin are in abundance. Between October and December, Wahoo especially is profuse along Trinidad's East Coast, in an area measuring over 1800 square miles.
