Cabo San Lucas sport fishing charters

Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, the Tourist Corridor in between and the East Cape are all part of the municipality of Los Cabos (the capes).

Cabo San Lucas is known as the "Marlin Capital of the World" and deservedly so, as there are more marlin caught here than any other place on earth. Unlike other well-known fishing destinations, where days, and many dollars can be spent in pursuit of this most prized sport fish, it is not unusual to capture one or even more on your very first trip, whether you are a beginner or an expert. Once reserved for the wealthy, fishing in Cabo is now within reach of almost all visitors and an encounter not to be missed. Not only will you experience the thrill of battling a creature of incredible beauty and size, or landing smaller species and eating them, your fishing excursion gives you an opportunity to view the Cape and its landmarks from a unique perspective and often allows you to get a close up look at whales, dolphins and seals.

• There are plenty of species to be had in the area and just about any beach or rocky shoreline will produce at least one more of them. At any given time, the rockier areas along the gulf side hold many types of groupers, sea bass, snappers, trevallies & neddle fish.

The sandy Pacific side produce largo, pargo, colorado, snappers, shark, torito, jack crevelle and the ultimate surf warrior, the mighty rooster fish. All of these fishes beside the shark family, can be taken on lures of one kind or another. If you're bringing your own gear, I recommend a 9' surf rod with 20 pound test.

For the rockier areas a 10 or 11 foot 15 or 20 pound test outfit along the sandy shorelines. For Sharks , where we bait fish, I would recommend a 8-10 foot conventional outfit with 30 pound test, our surf fishing trips include all tackle. Ask about rentals and sales as well.

• The sportfishing around Cabo San Lucas provide some of the finest fishing in the world. The fishing is excellent year round for marlin and many other species. All charters should be reserved as far in advance as possible to insure availability of your requested boat type.

Make sure your rods & reels are in the best working order. The fish in Baja are hard running serious fish, and will push the limit of your tackle. Have fresh main line on your reels. have fresh leader line on your lures.
